The INFIRE partnership had the pleasure of meeting in person for the first time in Zagreb, Croatia on October 3-4, 2024! 🙌
After several productive online sessions, our Project Partners were finally able to collaborate face-to-face, focusing on co-designing the implementation of upcoming activities. We were also joined by our Project Officer, making the experience even more impactful.
🔧 During the meeting, we held internal workshops to define the needs for various activities; and the 8 pilot cases that will drive the project forward were analyzed:
Pilot 1 – Bio-solar roofs in the City of Karlovac, Croatia
Pilot 2 – Nature-based Solutions (NBS) for urban areas in Arrábida, Portugal
Pilot 3 – Nature-based Solutions (NBS) for schoolyards in Belleville, France
Pilot 4 – Decarbonisation of District Heating (DH) and cooling in AREA science park building in Trieste, Italy
Pilot 5 – Energy efficient heating and cooling for municipal building stock in Centar Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina
Pilot 6 – Energy Help Desk for citizens to tackle Energy poverty in Peshtera, Bulgaria
Pilot 7 – Integrated Air Climate Energy planning approach of biomass use in Lyon Metropole, France
Pilot 8 – Mobility hub incorporating Renewable Energy and Nature-based Solutions (RES and NBS) in the Region of Peloponnese
🤝 Additionally, we explored potential synergies between the INFIRE project, the CO2 Pacman project and the GARDEN project, sparking some exciting collaborative opportunities.
